Eco-friendly? Carry your Green Passport along

United Nations has launched an internet campaign aimed at tourists to encourage them to be eco-conscious even while holidaying. Named Green Passport, it guides tourists to do things that are environment-friendly when they are on a vacation. It advises tourists to choose eco-friendly destinations, reduce energy consumption, pay fair wages to hotel workers and buy locally made, environmentally-friendly souvenirs. The site has been opened by United Nations Environment Programme.

It all started with Ambani's Reliance Industries agreeing in August to buy assets of the nation's second-largest retailer for Rs 24,713 crore, just a year after Bezos' Amazon purchased an indirect stake in the indebted Future Retail.
